Rescue Global worked in partnership with academic institutions worldwide in order to integrate research, policy recommendations and technological innovations with real-world practice.
We worked across disciplines, encompassing technology, social sciences, economics and natural sciences on research and innovation projects.
We brought together academics with practitioners and policy-makers across the disaster cycle.
Academic institutions are hubs of knowledge and innovation. Rescue Global proactively developed partnerships with some of the world’s leading universities and research groups. Our partnerships spanned social and natural sciences, and technology and engineering.
These partnerships piloted new technologies, generate original research, and connect academics with real world contexts.
Through the Rescue Global academic partnerships, we aimed to connect academic experts with governments of disaster prone nations, and with humanitarian and development practitioners. We did this to better understand, and therefore improve, actions across the disaster cycle, and thereby protect and save life.
